Reflection of Letter to my Senior Self

Well. This is it. I am currently writing this during planning on my last day of student teaching. I graduate in 15 days. So many things have happened since freshman year:

I still live with my best friend and freshman roommate, Kathryn. We are closer now than ever and I am so excited for our lives ahead of us. I have still stayed involved with Honors and Sign Language Club. I have also added math club, Mortar Board, Kappa Delta Pi, Residential and Commuter Life, and math tutoring throughout the years.

I am still as dedicated to my work as I was with freshman year. I have made Dean’s List five times, and President’s List two times (hopefully three). I am organized and do my work in advance so I have buffer time incase things come up. I hope this carries into my future career as a teacher. My once-in-a-lifetime study abroad opportunity turned into twice-in-a-lifetime as I got to go to both Spain and South Africa with Longwood. I also was able to travel to Puerto Rico on a service trip. I can honestly say that I am graduating having done the best that I could during my four years here. I don’t know if I have made a difference, but I really hope I have. And I am 10000% sure that I love Longwood just as much as I did freshman year. Actually, my love for Longwood has only grown. Just like freshman year, I have never once doubted my decision to attend Longwood. It is my forever home.

Since freshman year, I have really made it a priority to enjoy every minute and not take anything for granted. While I am so so so sad be to graduating, I am content with the fact that I gave college my all and made the best out of every experience! Can you cry both happy and sad tears at the same time? If you see me crying on graduation day…just ignore me. Now on to the real world! I will be pursuing my masters in Special Education at Longwood University and teaching middle school math at Bailey Bridge! I am excited about the future to come!
