Ideal Staffing Needs

Current Facility Staff
Currently on staff, we have multiple team physicians and a sports medicine staff. The team physicians consist of the chief medical officer, four orthopedic physicians, a team spine consultant, and a pain management specialist. On the sports medicine staff, we have a Director of Sports Medicine, four athletic trainers, and three dual physical therapist athletic trainers. The facility’s ideal staffing needs are currently fulfilled at this time. We ideally would want to keep this number and variety of staff at all times, but people do often move on from the Eagles to different settings. Since a majority of our staff has worked for the Eagles for quite some time, we are willing to accept interns or growth in the addition of one more dual physical therapist athletic trainer.

Employee Statuses
We currently have all full time staff, although some of them began as seasonal employees. As described above, we are willing to accept interns who desire to work in the NFL setting as either seasonal or full time athletic trainers. Ideally, interns would work with the Eagles for 2 years in a seasonal period, such as the summer, before being considered for hire. Seasonal employees will continue this status for about one year before being considered for promotion to a full time employee.
