Population Summary

Basic functional agency requirements for all participants are the ability to follow simple instructions, complete basic tasks, and engage in as many activities as they like too.
Primary disability groups served by this agency are participants with memory loss like dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Also diabetes which usually has another diagnosis along with that. Physical disabilities like weakness/loss of mobility/balance which is not necessarily due to a specific disease process, also the loss of hearing and sight which is generally not the total loss but only a partial loss of hearing or sight. Mental health disabilities like Schizophrenia. They also have developmental disabilities like Down syndrome and multiple sclerosis. (A. Mesa, personal communication, June 10, 2020)

    Rebecca,
The content here is very strong, however, Angela did not come up with the definitions and criteria for these populations. You need to cite a reputable source for each definition and supporting information you’ve identified here using APA style.

Hi Rebecca! I really liked how you created a word document that showed a table defining all of the disabilities as well as its strengths and areas of improvement. I would just suggest to add the name of the agency so that we know what it is. I would also use commas instead of dashes so that it looks cleaner when you are listing things so instead of ” physical disabilities like weakness/ loss of mobility – ” it os “physical disabilities such as weakness, loss of mobility, etc.”

    Hi Rebecca,
I really like how you divided the population description into a table which made it organized and easy to understand. I would have separated the basic functions section and the populations served by headers instead of one big paragraph. It would help the two areas be apart from each other and make it easier to understand what the basic functions are of the agency are and who the population is that is being served. Overall, great job!

Hello Rebecca! I loved the way you decided to set up this blog post by using a chart. It was super easy to read and follow and overall it was a great idea. My only recommendations to you are that you make sure to do a hanging indent on your citations. Also, I noticed that on the top paragraph, you have the in-text citation “(A. Mesa, personal communication, June 10, 2020)” however I didn’t see it in the Reference section at the bottom. I would just be sure to add that in. Overall though I enjoyed learning more about the population served at the agency!
