Press Release

Another document assigned for the course was a press release announcing the release of the product described in our brochure, in our case, Winning Washable Paper. The assignment links learning course outcomes one (analyze and produce writing genres commonly found in the professional world), four (create professional documents that use design), and six (participate productively in collaborative groups). Press releases are often used in the professional world as a way to gain attention to a new product or service learning course outcome one). In order to do this, it was important for our group to consider our audience while writing the press release. Our audience consisted of college students, office workers, and everyone in between, so we included a list of multiple ways to use the paper. The document also followed a block formatting and used the AIDA principles (learning course outcome four). Lastly, our document was created as a collaborative project in a group (learning course outcome six).
