Brochure

The second major assignment of this course was to create a brochure marketing a new product or service. My group market a product called Winning Washable Paper, a type of paper that could erase ink and be reused over and over again. An effective brochure is well-formatted, dynamically and attractively designed, and includes well-integrated graphics and text. The format of the brochure follows the AIDA design principle, which stands for attention, interest, desire, and action. This assignment allowed me to target course learning concept four (create professional documents that use design- standard formats, layout, and use of graphics).   Throughout the process of writing a brochure, I learned how to incorporate lists in a professional manner, without overwhelming the entire concept of the brochure in text. We also incorporated at least one AIDA design principle on each panel of the brochure. For example, we demonstrated the action principle on the last panel by providing a 20% off discount on the next purchase. This was also one of my first group assignments, which satisfies course learning outcome number six. Overall, this assignment challenged me by figuring out how to incorporate all the information in a clean and organized manner, but I overcame this by asking for feedback and help from my group members.
