I have learned more than I could imagine in ENGL 470 this semester. Most importantly I have learned that professional writing is not as serious as I had previously thought before I took this class. After this semester, I have come to the conclusion that Professional Writing is more about persuading others and creating a lasting impression with what you say. Furthermore, while I know that we have effectively learned to course learning outcomes, I feel like taking this class has made me into a better citizen leader, ready to tackle tomorrow’s professional world. While I may be leaving Longwood in just a few weeks, I feel more than prepared for my first job out of college, as the Director of Advancement for Phi Mu Delta National Fraternity, where I will not only be working with people each day on a professional level, but I will be working with the documents I have learned to craft this semester, during my daily, professional life.
