For the press release assignment, my teammates and I were asked to use the same information from the Brochure assignment and create an informative press release for it. One of our requirements for the assignment was to have the proper formatting from the example in our textbook which we feel that we were able to do. Our other requirements were to have a short intriguing headline, have the opening grab attention with key information, our second paragraph had to have quotations that clarify the news and create interest, write in the third person, and use the eight C’s. Understanding and employing the proper language was a big aspect of this assignment and my teammates and I at first had a difficult time doing but in the end were able to use this language in a way where it would best be understood.
