This GA will provide administrative support for the Center for Cyber Security. The GA will help plan and execute events such as Cyber Summits, cybersecurity competitions (both online and in-person), engage with external stakeholders such as local high schools to plan recruiting events and other community outreach events. The GA can also help to track internship and job opportunities for students in both ISCS and CS, and disseminate those opportunities to the appropriate students.

The primary focus of the GA in Counselor Education is to assist the program with gathering and aggregating the large amount of assessment data from external sources, program faculty, and program students in support of CACREP and University assessment requirements. The GA takes notes during Program Meetings to document for CACREP our ongoing program evaluations and regular program updates or revisions. The GA is also responsible for regular social media posts and other marketing efforts about the Counselor Education program. The GA participates in campus (in class) and Zoom Counselor Education Information Sessions. As time permits, the GA supports other Program Director activities.

The Longwood LIFE GA participates in daily supervision of Longwood LIFE students (8-5) on Wednesdays and Fridays when the program is in session throughout the semester. Duties include assisting students with daily tasks both academically and functionally in classes and as they transition around campus. This position includes job coaching with an on-site employment job where students will need prompting to perform their job tasks. In addition, the GA is takes a vital role in communicating with parents and supporting the director in editing progress reports and networking with other professors and departments. Finally, the GA is responsible for organizing the volunteer pool of Longwood students who wish to work with the Lifers. This is a very rewarding job full of daily challenges with a great amount of hugs and thank-yous from young adults with ID who love being Lancers!

Roles will include reviewing lesson plans and providing feedback, conducting VCLA tutoring, and helping students complete applications for Teacher Preparation. In addition, the GA will help the SPED department connect with alumni and share information with school divisions.

• Gather content and create posts to spotlight graduate and professional studies students, staff, faculty, and alumni on social media.
• Assist with graduate fairs and recruitment events.
