Reflection: Thus far, this was the most challenging course I have taken throughout my college career. On my first essay based exam, I received an “F.” This came to a complete shock to me, and although I was upset, I used it as a learning curve. For the remainder of the semester, I worked to better myself. Eventually, I brought up a “D” to a “B-” by the end of the semester. This is partially due to the paper that I attached. I knew that this particular professor’s exams were challenging, thus, I strove to excel on the comparative analysis paper we were required to write. This novel contained such an interesting perspective on the universe that is American politics. Despite this class being a struggle for me, I found myself to be intrigued by this novel. I received an “A+” on this paper and learned a valuable lesson early on in my college career: you can’t achieve perfection in every class, but you should always try.
