Reflection: This was the most interesting English class I have ever taken hands down. I was apprehensive of the content at first, however, when we started the semester with reading Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, I knew I was in for a real treat. I gained even more of an appreciation of the American authors and poets that we studied, such as Poe, Whitman, and Plath. I finished the course with over a “100.” For my artifact, I attached the best of the four papers that I wrote. It compares Batman to be a Christ Figure, which I may not have ever considered prior to taking this course.
