This past semester was my last semester of Spanish. I’ve been taking Spanish classes since high school, so this is ultimately bittersweet. While there was a day that I thought that I would major in Spanish and become a teacher, this semester has shown me that although I am decent at Spanish I do NOT have a passion for it. Thus, I often felt burned out by the demands of the course. The assignments and material were not difficult, however, they were tremendously tedious. Despite feeling the “sophomore slumps” with this class, I managed to push through with a solid “A.” The artifact that I selected was a group project that I was assigned. My group was required to select a portion of campus that was unnecessarily contributing toward pollution. We then had to create a presentation in Spanish and deliver it in front of the class.
