Reflection: Overall, this class taught me a great deal about what it means to be a citizen leader. The journals that were expected each week caused me to think critically about not only myself and my own actions, but also society as a whole. I appreciate that as an honors class there was a bit more depth rather than an average LSEM class. Most of my peers stated that they did not have any assignments for their LSEM class, which made me grateful that I was extracting meaning from the course rather than it be a waste of time. As artifacts, I attached a picture of the most interesting assignment we did, along with an attachment of the most valuable. The picture is from the “library selfie scavenger hunt.” As someone who frequently uses the library, I found this entertaining activity to be quite helpful. The other attachment contains one of my journals. I wrote about how I wanted to lose weight and compared my feelings to a character in the book Every Day. Since then, I have lost 60 pounds, and I believe that it helped to capture my feelings down in this journal.
