02. Human Behavior and Contemporary Insights Pillar: Human Growth and Development

This is a paper of a project we worked on throughout the semester. We were to pick a child from each age group of early childhood, middle childhood, and adolescents. You were to create questions appropriate for their age group and ask them. Next, you wrote a paper and made a presentation comparing the answers of all the age groups. It was fascinating to see how the cognitive, socio-emotional and physical changes across different age groups.

This class was very similar to an AP Psychology course I took in high school, but in this class, we went more in-depth about the development and not so much the history of Psychology. In this class, I enjoyed the class activities we would do. For example, we broke out into groups and each came up with a skit for an age group and the class had to guess the age group. In this class, it was where I met my nursing honors friends and now best friends. We would eat dinner together before this class since it was from 6-8:45 once a week which was not fun. These people have been my support system through nursing and honors always being willing to lend a helping hand. This has been one of my favorite honors classes so far.
