Hi, my name is Ryleigh Turner and I am a student of the Cormier Honors College. My major is nursing. I plan on after graduating going and specializing in emergency medicine.

I attended the Health Science Specialty Center at Cosby High School. I chose this high school because for as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a nurse.  I chose this major because I am very devoted to helping and caring for others. Through one of my classes offered at my specialty center in high school, I was able to shadow a surgical trauma intensive care nurse and I loved the fast pace. Ever since I have wanted to be a trauma nurse.

My current plan for after I finish college is to begin my nursing career in a typical hospital for two years. Then, I hope to specialize in Emergency medicine, this may include more schooling. After, I have spent a few years of being on a trauma floor I hope to work my way up to become a charge nurse. During my time at the Cormier Honors College of Longwood University, I hope to learn valuable nursing skills to help me in my pursuit of becoming a trauma nurse.
