BIOL 120: Integrative Biology

Going into my second semester at Longwood I decided to dive deeper into the Biology curriculum, and that meant starting with Integrative Biology with Dr. Jackson. After taking BIOL 101 in the first semester, I was able to use that class as a basis for the lessons I would learn in this course. Dr. Jackson made the class environment interactive with comprehension quizzes as well as handouts for every class. Additionally, Dr. Jackson introduced me the computer program Anaconda, which was the first computer program I had ever done. This resource was used to analyze data as well as graph different quantities observed in our lab experiments. Below I am including the results of my first lab of the semester, where my group members and I swabbed for bacteria on various doorhandles in Chichester Science Center. Here you can see the tables and charts that I created using the Anaconda program.
