Community is an aspect that’s not only a large part of Longwood culture, but the Honors College culture as well. In my eyes, community is helping out someone in need. Having someone to lean on when you’re down. Through my time at Longwood, I have learned the definition of community. I have been in various situations when I was in need, and without a doubt, every time I knew my lancer family would be able to help. This is definitely true for the Honors College. With the small community, whatever you need, you know you always have someone there. This sense of community is established during the first week we are on campus and we spend hours upon hours with each other. This shows us that our community is close knit and is there for one another.
