Service

When I came to Longwood, I immediately recognized that service was a large part of the honors community. From the first days of the honors retreat to becoming an honors mentor in following years, I have grown to love service and everything that it brings to the community. Becoming a mentor and having the opportunity to see how service continues to impact the lives of incoming freshman has been such a rewarding experience. I have branched out on campus and dove into other service opportunities. I am a member of the  Longwood Ambassadors, which is fully dedicated to serving the university when it comes to giving tours to prospective students. We also take part in several service projects around town such as MOPS, the SPCA, FACES, and so many more. This organization has given me the opportunity to not only showcase my love for Longwood, but my love for service, which all started from the honors retreat freshman year.
