English 150 was one class that I was not excited to take. I had taken many years of advanced or AP English classes in high school, and was not looking forward to having to take another basic English class. I could not have been more wrong about the experience that I had in this class. I learned so much more about how to become a good writer and how to really get inside the mind of an author. My professor was an advocate of us writing on topics of our choosing, which was something I thoroughly enjoyed. I got a chance to write about topics that interested me, not simply topics that were required for an assignment. Although this class was required, it is one that I will look back on and former be thankful for.
