World Literature was a class that I chose to take the honors section of freshman year. I was hesitant at first because English and Literature have never been my strong suits, but I could not be more thankful that I took this class. I was given the chance to read nine novels throughout the semester, all from different countries. The novels ranged from places like Columbia, Haiti, and even Japan. Coming into this class I had not heard of any of the nine books we were to read, but now being on the other side of it, I have found some of my new favorite novels. Getting the chance to read novels from other countries and essentially just talk about books for 50 minutes three times a week was such an incredible experience, and I would recommend it to anyone.
