This class was, by far, one of my favorite classes I have taken at Longwood to date. I learned to look at places around the country in different ways, and to see things past face value. In this class we studied Atlanta as if it were our textbook, and got the opportunity to go there for a few days to see everything for ourselves. We spoke to natives, traveled around town to different areas, and studied the local life everywhere. I have never had such an amazing experience; whether it was learning new things about the city, traveling around without any technology, or just being with the people I was traveling with.
From this class I learned so much about my perspective on not only cities, but life in general. It allowed me to see everything past face value, and to look deeper into places. If you want to learn more about my trip, attached is a paper I wrote reflecting on everything I experienced in Atlanta.
