For Goal 4, I chose to take Art 160, which was an introduction to visual arts class. I have never been much for art, but figured this class would allow me to get a greater appreciation for it and maybe understand it a little bit better. Throughout the course I was able to not only gain insight into art that I had never had before, I was able to actually begin to understand art and its’ components.

We had the opportunity of creating our own art for a final project, and it was meant to have an underlying greater message. As pictured above, I chose to create a “flower box”. Within this flower box, I integrated headphones and drew social media logos to place on top of the fake flowers. I chose these things to represent how technology and social media are becoming such a norm, they are literally growing into our society.

This class turned out to be very rewarding for me. I was able to gain the insight I wanted, and also have a little fun while doing it!
