Coursework

Below is a list of relevant courses that I have taken or plan to take during my time at Longwood that are key to becoming a successful teacher. Having a minor in Children’s Literature is the best track for me because it will make me marketable within the school systems. Literature is an essential part to a students school career, therefore, taking on this minor will only help me be a better teacher and have more knowledge on how to teach students about literature. While at Longwood, I have also taken many education classes that have prepared me to properly run a classroom on my own.

Courses:

  • Writing and Research
  • Advanced Writing Seminar
  • Grammar: Theory and Practice

  • Writing in the Elementary Classroom
