Brochure

Reflection: This brochure was done based on a product that doesn’t exist anywhere in the world. The product that my partner and I decided to create for this brochure is the Day Dreamer. The Day Dreamer is a pillow that records people’s dreams so that they can watch them the next day. A lot of people don’t remember their dreams once they wake up, so we thought that this would be a great product to do our project on. While doing this brochure, the course outcome that represents this topic best is to create professional documents that uses design—standard formats, layout, use of graphics, etc. While making the brochure, I had to design it a certain way so that all the information that I wanted to include in it fit properly. I also had to make sure that all the sections were aligned a certain way to make sure it was readable and that the font size was consistent throughout the document. The layout for this brochure was very important especially when deciding where to put the graphics on the display. It is important to have a brochure that is visually appealing to everyone and readable. Another outcome that was used while working on this brochure was to participate productively in collaborative projects. I think that this outcome is relative to the brochure because I had to collaborate with my partner and we had to decide what exactly we wanted to include on the brochure and where we wanted to place everything. We had to come to an agreement and make sure we included all the important details that need to be in a brochure. Some challenges that I may have faced while putting this brochure together is that the layout and documents kept messing up every time I tried to work on it. I had to create multiple documents until I finally got one that didn’t mess up the layout of the page. I overcame this by not giving up and kept working on it until it looked like a real brochure that people would receive and want to read. Overall, I enjoy working on brochure’s because it makes you think about many things like the layout, font, graphics, information, etc. It brings out the creative side of people and makes them think, but it is somewhat fun to create as well.
