Having already completed a formal report in a different class in the Rhetoric and Professional Writing program, I was somewhat used to creating this type of document; however, this time, our team’s report centered around a comparison of three amusement park websites. We evaluated each site according to criteria based on accessibility, visual appeal, and content. Practicing the skills necessary to make a formal report was beneficial because it provided me with a sort of “refresher” on what I already knew in a different context. Additionally, the experience of trying to merge three individual writing styles into one cohesive report (with three separate analyses, one from each partner) was challenging but broadened my perspectives on the writing process as a whole.
