As an undergraduate in Political Science, I am also very passionate about journalism and its ethics. Consequently, I was very pleased to discover that the topic of this class revolved around the subject of censorship and media. The direct relation between journalistic media and the political discourse was very much highlighted in this course thus, providing me with a boatload of motivation. I did the required research project of this course on The lack of ethics in digital media and its importance on political decisions in America with the assistance of the course professor Mr. Scott McDarmont and the librarian Jennifer Beach. Through countless assignments and tedious workload, this course allowed me to polish my writing and researching abilities to a reasonable collegiate level thus setting me closer to my goal of complete fluency in english
I also presented my research during a poster session in the library. Overall, I can attest the importance of this course on improving my knowledge of journalism and the dangers of censorship. For me, it was more than just a Gen. Ed, it was a fundamental class to understand the political discourse in America.
