Goal 4: Introduction to Visual Arts

Reflection: When I was signing up for this class, I was excited.  I have always appreciated the visual arts and was excited for a chance to learn more about them.  I soon realized that this class should have been titled “Art History” as that is what it consisted of.  We practiced actual art about three times throughout the semester, and the rest of the time was spent listening to lectures about the time periods of art and notable artists.  I did not enjoy this class.  Yes, I learned more about the history of art.  However, I thought that this class had the potential to give more to the student, and I did not feel that that opportunity was taken advantage of.
