Environmental Health & Safety Hearing Conservation Assistant

Part-Time, Fall & Spring

Position is open only to graduate students in the Communication Sciences & Disorders program

Under the direction of the Director of Environmental Health & Safety, develop a hearing conservation program for Longwood employees that complies with OSHA regulations.  Specific duties include:

  • Evaluating job tasks for noise exposure and conducting noise monitoring
  • Compiling data on at-risk positions
  • Establishing a testing and record-keeping process
  • Developing a process to approve hearing protection devices for specific job tasks
  • Presentation of hearing conservation training
