The Early Reader in Children’s Literature and Culture: Theorizing Books for Beginning Readers is a new collection of essays co-edited by Jennie Miskec, Associate Professor of Children’s Literature. Published by Routledge, the volume includes fifteen interdisciplinary articles that draw upon and synthesize scholarship in education, child psychology, sociology, cultural studies, and children’s literature.
