Michael Mergen, assistant professor of art, just returned from a lecture in Chicago, where he took part in a two-person panel discussion, “America’s Competitive Edge and Global Standing,” in conjunction with the Museum of Contemporary Photography’s exhibition, “Peripheral Views: States of America, featuring 15 works from Michael’s 1600 Pennsylvania series.
