I took English 210 – Forms and Genres to complete my Aesthetic Expressions and to fulfill an honors course credit as well. This class started out very challenging for me but quickly became very interesting. Dr. Lund’s approach to class was unique but very hard for me to understand at first. He focused on analyzing and deeply understanding readings and media, not just simply reading or watching something on the surface level. His entire class time consisted of class discussion amongst ourselves and towards the professor. We read and analyzed three different books, as well as multiple television shows and commercials. This class opened my eyes to many different viewpoints and approaches to not only books but also life in general. Since it was focused on 9/11, this especially made me think about our country and how it has changed as a result. I learned a lot from this class and by the end, was very sad that it was over. This has been one of the more difficult classes, but definitely, my favorite that I have taken so far.
