Philosphy 200

Philosophy 200 was one of my favorite classes. It was easy because we did not get a lot of homework and the discussions were thought provoking, but its challenges came from the discussions we had in class where there was no real right answer. Everything was left based on how we could argue what we thought was the right answer and what we could use to support it. So the challenge was coming up with your argument which you then had to back up with evidence proving your point to everyone.

The way my thought process changed because of this class is really important to me because I realized that I had to do more than just say my opinion. I had to back up what I thought and believed. I had to be open to other peoples thoughts, views, and opinions. Most of all I had to be open to the possibility of being wrong which is not easy for most people because we never want to be wrong. Being wrong to us as humans shows a failure of character, but to a philosopher it is a wonderful thing to be wrong so that you can learn from it.

Option 2-Philosophy

Artifact

I chose a list of arguments that I did for philosophy 200 because they represent the idea of being wrong and supplying evidence to your cause or idea. To me, the arguments are the basis for all of philosophy in that they are what we learned from the class. To represent our belief in how we see things in our own perspective which is extraordinary. Just the thought of a bunch of people getting together and arguing about their beliefs, while also being open to other peoples beliefs even when they could all be wrong. It really is amazing.
