Overall, this assignment has helped to assist me in my own leadership journey by allowing me to determine my strengths and weaknesses in terms of the skills that I have developed over the course of my life. A few things that I have learned are that I have the potential to be a great leader because of my dependability and integrity but also need to explore other areas like decision-making and communication skills. Also, I have learned that it is quite acceptable to be a follower compared with always having to be a leader and it can be more beneficial that way in some cases. This assignment gave me the opportunity to explore my potential as a leader as well as grow my awareness of what it takes to be a leader. I will accomplish my mission statements by continuing to work hard, be fair, and action-oriented through my role as a future social worker. I hope to inspire and be influential for my clients as they are working to better themselves and overcome any obstacles they face.
