I plan to continue my education and have been accepted into VCU’s Advanced standing program where I will obtain my Master of social work. I have decided to concentrate clinically with the hope that this will help me to eventually become a licensed clinical social worker. While at VCU I plan on completing a three-semester field placement in a clinical setting that has yet to be determined by the department. After I finish my MSW I plan to start a career in the social work field while I begin the licensure process. My end goal is to become a therapist that specializes in working with clients with mental health disorders. The population I would like to work with is adolescents and young adults.
