In this E-portfolio I have provided specific examples of works I completed throughout the semester in my English 400 course. This course taught me a variety of things that I will continue to use in my everyday life. I am now able to understand and analyze writings, whether they are my own or someone else’s. I am able to identify rhetorical elements that are used in everyday writing, or elements that are displayed as images. As I further my professional career, I will be able to keep these strategies in mind. The common good project has led me to have an interest in being able to persuade people to do things for the good of the community or the good of the environment, or the world as a whole. All in all, what I learned in this course will benefit me in my present and future life, not just here at Longwood.
