Community Culture, Formal & Informal
I plan to include and infographic to better represent the community culture.
Formal
The academic calendar is an official list of events that take place in the Longwood community. Students utilize the calendar to plan their schedule as far as exams, holiday breaks, registration deadlines, and more. Longwood University also provides their students with campus run events such as the G.A.M.E., Oktoberfest, and Spring Weekend.

Informal
With Longwood University being located in the town of Farmville, town events tend to include students. Events such as the High Bridge Half Marathon & 5K, Farmer’s Daughter Fall Bazaar, and Rock the Block are a way to integrate students into the Farmville community. In addition, with a wide variety of clubs and organizations on Longwood’s campus there is always something going on.

Looking at Farmville from a quality of life summary, this small town has a medium cost of living along with a fair amount of employment opportunities. There is an excellent amount of cultural diversity along with a good amount of walkability in town.
