For my final honors class, I went on a Brock Experience to Yellowstone during my Summer semester 2022. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, this counted as a study abroad experiences, so I have talked all about my experience during this time under the tab for ‘Study Abroad’, which can be found in the Tab menu or by clicking on the link here. I had a great experience there, and I am really glad I chose to go there, because I have been wanting to travel there since as far back as I can remember but I never got the chance. Even though it was for a class, I don’t think that necessarily took away from the experience, and going back I would do it again in a heartbeat. If you ever get the chance to travel, take it! It is so important to travel to different places and to see different things. What you know and what you see is not the only thing out there and the best way to figure that out is to go and experience that first had. What better way to do that, and what better time, than during school with friends! Go seize that oportunity and make the best of every day!
Look how beautiful it was there! I wish I could have taken more pictures and spent even more time there, but I will always have the memories of my time there with my new friends and all my new experiences, and I hope to make many more like them. I took this picture after we were instructed to take a few minutes to just take in the wildlife, to use our senses to listen, smell, see, hear, and even taste the nature around us, so different from what we are used to, and this view really resonated with me, I just had to capture it after we were done with the activity so I could look back on it, like now, and just remember how I felt in that moment and all that I experienced.
