Reflection: Throughout grade school, I have always had a love-hate relationship with math. Some years, I would excel. In fact, I was awarded with the exceptional achievement award in Geometry my freshman year. My junior year, I received an “A+” on my final Trigonometry exam. Algebra and Statistics were a different story. Thus, I was apprehensive about the way that this course would go. To my surprise, I ended up excelling! I finished the course with an “A,” and my professor commended me for my effort. For my artifact, I attached a project that I completed with two of my fellow honors family. This project was not easy, and it definitely took a team to complete. We ordered a pizza, sat at a table in Ruffner where we could easily access my professor, and worked the entire day on it. Our hard work paid off and we ended up receiving an “A+” on the assignment.
