To set up a group course blog:
- Create a blog for your course
- On the Dashboard, go to Appearances >Widgets and add a widget “Add Users” to the side of your course blog. Click on the widget settings and check authors option.
- Ask students to go to Longwood Blogs and log in with their LancerNet ID and password.
- Then ask students to navigate to your course blog and click on the “Add Me” button in the sidebar of your blog.
They will immediately have privileges to post on your site (if you are already logged in as an author, you won’t see the “Add me” button, but a Welcome, Jane Doe message). Users who add themselves to your blog via the “Add Users” widget will not have administrator privileges; they will only have permission to write their own posts.
