Clinical Neurobiology

  • Year: Summer I 2018
  • Course Name: BIOL 495 – Clinical Neurobiology
  • Description: “This course provides an in-depth study of the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system, including motor function, neural communication, perception, and motor control. Once ‘normal’ homeostatic conditions are established, we explore how alterations in these systems – whether genetically or environmentally triggered – can result in human neurologic or psychiatric disorders. In this class, we covered material essential for understanding problems related to health and disease. Common neurological medical disorders and disorders that are classically thought of as non-neurological were addressed – concepts that will affect nearly every health professional.
