This class was taken during the fall semester of my Senior year of college. This course was specifically designed to increase the probability of students passing their NCLEX tests and acquiring their nursing licenses.
This class was solely focused on improving the test taking skills for the NCLEX. Here we performed deep dives into all of the subjects that the entire class struggled with during their 4 years in the nursing department in order to improve their overall chances of passing the test. The NCLEX test is the licensure exam for all nursing students that grants us our licenses and the ability to practice as registered nurses.
This course required students to complete their own Remediation Plan over the duration of the entire semester where students were tasked with studying 8-12 hours of needed review by the end of the semester. This remediation plan was broken down by weekly assignments. This allowed students to pace themselves and slowly increase their confidence with the material and their skills.
