This class was taken during the fall semester of my Junior year in the Nursing Department. I absolutely hated this class.
I guess the material for this class was interesting to learn, but I honestly did not enjoy it for one second. This course was responsible for teaching the students about what nursing research is, how it is conducted, why it is conducted, and the influence that the results from nursing research has on the nursing profession. Throughout the semester we learned about the different types of nursing research, different sample sizes, different methods of conducting research, and many of the different research theories.
During this class we had to use our newly learned knowledge of research to critically appraise to research articles for a grade. This made us apply our skills to decipher if an article is trustworthy and factual.
The material was fascinating to learn, but I had such little interest in the content. I do not intend on ever conducting nursing research
