Biography

Hi my name is Jade O’Connor. I am from Kingsville, Maryland and went to high school at Perry Hall High School. I am a current psychology major in the 2021 graduating class at Longwood University and I am a member of the Cormier Honors College as well as the Women’s Lacrosse team.

My interest in psychology started in my high school AP psychology class. The information in the class interested me so much and the thought of helping others understand themselves and better their lives was amazing to me. I always knew I wanted to help people. As I’ve taken more classes and grown up a little, I have thought that after my undergraduate, I want to pursue a masters degree in school psychology. I’ve worked with kids my whole life and I currently work a kids camp and coach lacrosse so I really wanted my career to be helping children and giving them a trustful learning environment in schools.

Playing Lacrosse has been a huge part of my life and I would love to also continue my love for lacrosse by coaching. I currently coach a club lacrosse team back home and I currently do lacrosse trainings for local girls!!  When I graduate, I would love to coach at the high school level and continue to give back to the community I grew up in through sports!
