Technology can be used in a Physical Education class to help add another dimension of learning to a lesson by allowing the students to review their own activity, track their progress, and even learn at their own pace.
Lesson Plan with Slow Mo. – Attached is a lesson plan in which the students are given iPads with a slow motion capability camera. The purpose of the lesson is to let the students film each other and then replay the videos to see where they may excel, or have trouble performing a specific skill.
Lesson Plan with QR code – This is another lesson plan in which students are given a QR code scanner and they must scan the barcode. It will redirect them to a video in which the teacher demonstrates the skill using the cues. This helps the students by allowing them to watch the video as many times as they need.
Xbox Kinect presentation – This is a PowerPoint about Xbox Kinect and it’s potential usefulness in a Physical Education setting.
