Throughout high school I held myself to high academic standards and hard work. I was fiercely proud of my GPA and all of the hard work that I had done to achieve it. I knew university would be harder than high school, but I was taking IB classes and those are pretty much the same, right?
It came as a bit of a shock to me when my GPA went below a 4.0 for the first time in my life. I felt like I was failing, like I wasn’t working hard enough. I suppose you could call it a taste of reality. I will have to work harder than I did before if I want to keep as close to 4.0 as possible.
Luckily Cormier Honors College has been extremely supportive. They offer all of their time and resources to help me achieve. The Honors community is strong and encourages hard work. With the support of my fellow Honors scholars and professors I can continue to achieve and excel academically.
