This course was interesting for many reasons but mostly because it taught me something I had never even heard of before: Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC). Through research projects I learned that writing incorporates three methods of learning: learning by doing (the act of writing), learning through imagery (the visual aspect of writing), and learning through representation and symbolism (the meaning of written words). In addition we studied the various conventions of the educational fields to prepare us for writing in our upcoming classes. I found this class interesting and very helpful in explaining how I would be expected to write for the next few years and even beyond.
