Formal Report

I think the formal report is the document that taught me the most about professional writing. For this document, formatting and spacing is everything. All the little pieces of the document need to be placed in the correct order and in the correct style in order for it to be considered professional. This ties the formal report to course outcome one, being able to analyze and produce writing genres commonly found in the professional world. Also, for the formal report we were required to present our information to the class, which connects to course learning outcome five that talks about practicing oral communication skills to present content effectively. I had never written or read a formal report before this class. I found it to be the most challenging document in this class but also the most rewarding once it was completed.
