Most of my experience comes from nannying, or working in schools, but I have found that even working in a store can bring the same connections. Whether you’re working with children or grown women, you’re meeting people and forming relationships with them. That is why I have found myself to love working retail, you are constantly meeting people, and as long as you get it right the first time, they will always come into the store looking for you.
I have always known that I wanted to help people in some way. I always thought I would grow up and be a teacher, but things change. Throughout high school, I was always nannying and helping students with schoolwork, and I loved it. When I got to college, I got a job as a sales associate at Pier 1 Imports, and soon realized I love that, too. People would come in asking for help decorating their homes, and seeing their faces light up when they found the perfect addition was such a good feeling. Now, I am hoping to help people with one of my favorite things, fashion.
