This class is the first I took as an official Longwood student. It has been, at first, challenging because of the necessity of undergoing a hard transition of rhythm from high school to college. However, this class has not only been a huge help to build friendships among students of the same major but also contributed to smooth this transition, thus preparing me to meet Longwood’s standards in terms of ethics as well as citizen leadership. On that note, we had the wonderful opportunity to discover David Levithan’s book EVERY DAY which paints an exemplary character full of altruism and who displays strong sense of moral responsibility. I particularly enjoyed this book, as well as the follow up assignment, because it embodies all the excellent qualities that Longwood University encourages every student to cultivate
