I originally took this class because I needed the honors credit and I thought it seemed interesting. It quickly became a class that I enjoyed going to. I liked this class because it pushed me to work harder and to see things from a different perspective than my own. I enjoyed this class so much that I joined the extra credit reading group. I thoroughly enjoyed the discussions we had during class and that Dr. Blincoe wasn’t scared to play devils advocate and even entertain every side of the argument. We read so many interesting things in this class that made me want to read more about philosophy. My favorite assignments were the wedding speech I did dedicated to my best friend and the personal reflection I did at the end of the class (the reflection is attached below). The class was about Sex, Love and Friendship. So it was basically why we form the relationships we form and what they’re made of. It taught me a lot about why I click so well with some people and taught me a lot about self love. I am very thankful for this class and hope I can learn more about philosophy in the future.
