Welcome to the Conservation Biology Lab at Longwood University. I am a conservation biologist by training and teach conservation biology, ecology and related courses in the Department of Biological & Environmental Sciences at Longwood University. My current research program focuses on ecology, taxonomy and conservation of aquatic species such as freshwater crayfish, and terrestrial species such as elephants, reptiles and amphibians. One major aspect of my research is to understand the mechanisms supporting the co-existence of native species with invasive species. My research students, collaborators and I use field surveys, laboratory and field experiments, mathematical modeling, and citizen science data to tackle our research questions.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or thoughts about my work.
